Name: Director Logan Jane Fairfax Date Arrived: 1997 Biography:
Logan was previously a member of processing of USA Division Two when The Purge at USA Division One occurred and nearly ended the world. He was moved with the rest of the staff from the then-in-progress development of Division Two, to Proper Division Canada Facility, Code Name: The Habitant Society Orthodox.
During the first year, the Facility members were forced to make great sacrifices as members of the own families of the Technicians were named to be sacrificed to the Killing Floor in the 1998 year. Those in processing were required to sign these people to their deaths with no knowledge given to civilians in the underground city beyond the Facility's strong-guarded doors.
Due to the extreme dedication to the facility shown, Logan was forcibly promoted to Director of the Facility and began his term as overseer of opperations and scenarios within the Facility.
His skills as a negotiator and in keeping a level head under extreme duress allowed him to negotiate with the Ancient Gods now taking part-time residence in his head to negotiate for the use of their powerful magic to pull people and creatures from worlds other than their own, in order to put a stop to the deaths of the family members of the Technicians working for him.
Along with this, Logan created the cloning process which cut back on permanent deaths while allowing a greater number of sacrifices to appease the growing appetite of the Gods below.
Recently, Logan was forced to make a few rather unpleasant deals with the Gods in order to both gain a number of favors and finally put into motion the secondary facility. That Facility being Denouement.
As part of the price he paid for this, his brother, Liam, was brought back to suffer the trials of the Killing Floor once more.
Relation to other NPCs: Liam Fairfax:
Younger brother of Logan Fairfax. Logan looked out for Liam growing up and protected his younger brother fiercely. His temper occasionally caused this protection to take violent routes. Since signing away his brother's life, Logan has carried the guilt around with him.
Victoria Thackery
A coworker of Logan's from USA Division Two, Logan promoted Victoria to Assistant Director the moment he was forced into becoming Director. She is one of the few people Logan truly trusts in the Facility, and the closest thing he has had to a friend in the time since his 'promotion'.
Johnathon Smith
Logan's only other friend in the Facility. Logan trusts Johnathon and considers him one of the more valuable employees within the Facility.
Iris della Rosa and Matthew Hunter
Friends of John's who Logan trusts to get the real work done.
Travis Buchanan
Logan's least favorite employee. Nothing would make him happier than a reason to remove this kid with no reverence or respect for what they do from the Facility. Permanently.
Umbris
A creature whose origins are unknown and who is not governed by the Ancient Gods. Logan respects Umbris and allows him to come and go freely, without testing whether or not he could stop the Shade.
Name: Johnathon Smith Date Arrived: 2003 Biography: A native of Toronto, Johnathon and his family were evacuated to the underground city when he was in high school. Due to events that he's usually not inclined to talk about, he wound up spending the later part of his high school career couchsurfing before attending the university. He was a young man without direction and earned a pointless dual degree in theatre/creative writing with a minor in film production because those were some of his passions, not necessarily things that were even relevant to the new world around him.
He found his purpose not long after completing his college education when he was hired to work in Scripts at the Facility. He is completely dedicated to the work he does and it's quite common for him to work extended hours because he actually understands what they do at the Facility and he doesn't trust anyone else in his department to get it right.
Unlike many of the other Technicians employed at the Facility, John has never feared the Director, and as a result, he ended up with the unofficial and arduous task of delivering all the departmental paperwork to the Director since no one else wanted to do it. This is something John has never minded, because like the Facility, John is entirely dedicated to the Director and considers him a close friend.
When he's not busy being Logan's lapdog, he's coming up with new and exciting scenarios to implement on the Killing Floor. One instance of this- through a conversation with his real life actual best friend Matthew -resulted in an open-ended trip to the Killing Floor. From January 2015 until the mission reaches its conclusion, John, Matt, and Iris have taken their work upstairs to get up close and personal with the sacrifices.
This mission is on hiatus for the month of April due to the needing to assist with the new KF and a variety of other things.
Relation to other NPCs:
Amelia Smith John's little sister. They've been estranged for about fifteen years, but he found out that she was one of the new hires for Botany in February 2015. He makes sure to spend time with her while he's downstairs but truly catching up on everything has been difficult due to his work schedule.
Matthew Hunter and Iris della Rosa John's best friends. He doesn't have many of those because he's a judgemental asshole and at times high maintenance, but he's been tight with these two since childhood thereabouts. Matt and John's relationship is literally Turk and JD's. You know, if they were evil.
Logan Fairfax John's only other really good friend. Saying he's the Director's lapdog is not inaccurate. Really, he's pretty much a human version of a Yorkshire.
Liam Fairfax Logan's little brother. John is tasked with making sure that Liam stays safe during his time on the Killing Floor, without letting Liam know who he really is and who he's doing it for.
Travis Buchanan Just needs to just die, tbh.
Victoria Thackery The Assistant Director. She's literally the best, second only to the Director proper. They're friends in the business sort of way. John talks to her when he sees her and remembers to get her something nice for her birthday every time it rolls around.
"Will" The Amnesiac with no name. John gave him the name Will because John thinks he's clever and will make Will do whatever he wants. There's a method to John's madness in regard to Will, but the poor guy is completely oblivious to it.
Andrew Wallace The Sheriff. John has had fun toying with him during his time topside. Andrew thinks 'Peter' is his friend, and John is waiting for the right moment to prove just how wrong he is.
Genevieve Hudson Like Andrew, John has things in store for Gen that are going to prove to be quite terrible

Logan was previously a member of processing of USA Division Two when The Purge at USA Division One occurred and nearly ended the world. He was moved with the rest of the staff from the then-in-progress development of Division Two, to Proper Division Canada Facility, Code Name: The Habitant Society Orthodox.
Logan, his fiancé, Michael, his parents and his younger brother, Liam Fairfax, were relocated to the Underground Facility of Proper Division Canada with many other surviving families of former technicians from the North American area. None of the non-Technician civilians were made aware of the events, informed merely that cataclysmic disasters had struck the planet and they had been relocated for their safety. All Technicians maintained the cover of important government roles and were relocated to attempt to staff the PDC Facility.
Logan's own Family and Fiancé were among those chosen, and he was forced to sign their souls away to appease the Ancient Gods, and spent their last night with them, without informing his family of what would become of them.
Due to the extreme dedication to the facility shown, Logan was forcibly promoted to Director of the Facility and began his term as overseer of opperations and scenarios within the Facility.
